AB de villiers retains his No.1 ODI 14th time in his career

As of the latest ODI  rankings, South African batsman and  popularly known as ‘Mr.360’ AB de Villiers roared back to No.1 position with 879 points leaving behind by two points Indian skipper Virat Kohli  for the 14th time in his career.

After four months of rest, AB de Villiers returned to the field for the ODI against Bangladesh this week. His knock of 176 runs from 104 balls, helped him and South Africa to attain No.1 position in ICC rankings.

Taking the Team Ranking into account, South Africa and India share 120 points each but are placed to second by decimal changes. India can retain No.1 position if they perform good in upcoming series against New Zealand on October 22.

Pakistan’s Hasan Ali’s haul of 5 for 34 in the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi, which his team won by seven wickets for a decisive 3-0 lead in the five-match series, has given the pace bowler a big boost in ranking points.
