The 47-year-old ex- Wales boss has been appointed as the new Coach for Sunderland. He met the players on Sunday morning and he lead the training session. He will take charge of his first match at Sunderland’s home ground to face Aston Villa on Tuesday.
Sunderland are now at the bottom of the league table and also they became the first English in football to fail to win in 20 successive home matches. They have three more opportunities in December to avoid a complete loss in 2017 without a victory at the Stadium of Light.
Coleman had ended his playing career at Fulham in 2002, but he stayed at Craven Cottage to join the coaching staff. He first full season in charge was for Cottagers and he lead them to ninth place in the Premier League, but was eventually removed in April 2007.

Coleman was the Coach of Wales and lead them to the semi-finals of Euro 2016. But he failed to qualify for the 2018 world cup.
The first thing Coleman will need is time because looking at the current position of the team, it is difficult to lead them when a they are at some real dark stages. There is something wrong somewhere, that is why they are there at the bottom of the Championship.
