Indian team trainer Anil Kumblai and Captain Virat Kohli has approached the Supreme Court demanding hike in the payment of the players and supporting staffs of Indian team. n Hyderabad, Kumble gave a detailed presentation to the Committee of Administrators (COA) along with BCCI office-bearers — CEO Rahul Johri, joint secretary Amitabh Chaudhary and treasurer Aniruddh Chaudhary.

Skipper Kohli was not in Hyderabad and interacted with the panel separately via Skype.

The present amount given to the A grade players is 2 crore rupees per year, while the B grade player’s got 1 crore, and the C grade players, 50 lack rupees. The players are now requesting to widely increase it. The important demand is to increase the amount given to the A grade players to 5 crores, who certainties of all formats.

Kumble and Kohli stressed on the fact that performers in Test cricket should be kept in the highest importance test players should get the highest amount of payment. If  this request is accepted, it will affect badly to MS Dhoni since he was retired from test cricket. Dhoni is currently an A grade player but if test cricket gets the highest priority then his salary may be reduced. Also there is someone like Cheteshwar Pujara, who is not getting IPL contracts whereas someone like Pawan Negi, who doesn’t even play Ranji Trophy gets Rs 8.5 crore for 45 days. That’s something that needs to be worked out,”said Kumble
The demands of players are carefully heard and It will be Johri, Amitabh and Aniruddh, who will now decide on rationale of demands. They will prepare a report and then COA will take a final call in this regard.
