Virat Kohli retains No.1 position in ICC ODI rankings and Jasprit Bumrah at career best position.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli retains No.1 spot leaving behind South African batsman AB de Villiers in ICC rankings released on Monday. Whereas Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah reaches to his career best position at No.3 on the list lead by Pakistan bowler Hasan Ali.
Kohli, who scored 263 runs in the series against New Zealand which included two centuries (121,113) helped him attain 889 points, which is the highest ever by an Indian batsman. The second highest is of Sachin Tendulkar’s 887 points.
With the two hundreds Kohli completed his 32nd ODI centuries leaving him behind Sachin Tendulkar (49) in the list of most ODI hundred.
Bowler’s list is lead by Pakistan bowler Hasan Ali. However, Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s six wicket performance against New Zealand helped him reach his career best position at No.3.
In Women’s Cricket Indian captain Mithali Raj moved up one place to occupy the number one spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings for batswomen with 753 points and bowler Jhulan Goswami maintains his second position with 652 points.
In the team rankings, India’s 2-1 series win over New Zealand doesn’t help India to retain No.1 spot. South Africa remains at first position leading by two points.
