After 13 attempts Pakistan women’s team registered a 5 wicket win over New Zealand women’s team. The lady behind the victory is Sana Mir,her allround brilliance by taking 4 wickets forced New Zealand to settle at score of 155 followed up with her batting skill by scoring the winning runs.

Captain Bismah Maroof, who top-scored with an unbeaten 36 off 69 balls, driving the chase to its 49th-over finish after each of Pakistan’s top three scored played their part to lay a solid platform.

Choosing to bat first at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, New Zealand was in trouble,9 for 2 inside the first six overs, with Sana Mir picking up the key wicket of Suzie Bates. Fall of wickets at regular intervals made it more difficult, and only Maddy Green and Sam Curtis got past 20 runs, their sixth-wicket partnership of 38 the biggest of New Zealand’s innings helped them to the sore o 155. Sam Curits scored her second ODI fifty before being seventh out for 50 off 77 balls, having hit five fours.

That was a great moment of victory by putting an end to the winning streak of NZ continued for 13 games. The win made Pakistan alive in the series. They will surely try to carry the momentum for next matches but it wont be easy against a team like NZ.
