India skipper Virat Kohli clashed with Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade during the 2nd ODI in Kolkata on Thursday.Team India and Australia’s on-field rivalry has only heated up when players from both the teams have faced each other in international matches.

There occured such an incident during the second ODI between India and Australia at Eden Gardens where Australian Wicket-keeper Matthew Wade tried to sledge Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

In the 33rd over of the match Wade tore into the Indian captain, when he was hit on the hand while collecting a delivery from Marcus Stoinis and failed to return the ball. Perfectly within the laws of the game, the Indians smartly took a single (as byes) initiated by Kohli.

Wade and Stoinis had a go at Kohli for lacking sportsmanship. Both Wade and Stoinis confronted Kohli at the end of the over. Kohli, who went on to score 92, gave it right back to the duo.

“I might have a cry like you. I might go to the dressing rooms and have a good cry like you. Everyone has to feel sorry for you,” Wade said to Kohli during the change of ends. His words were picked up by the mic.

Kohli declared he will never be friends with any Australian player after this year’s Test series featured plenty of bad blood.

Former Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark, dubbing the incident as ‘piddly crap’, came out in support of Kohli.

“I wouldn’t be saying too much to Virat Kohli. He seems to want to fight with everyone and he seems to play 10 times better when he does fight with people,” Clark said.

However India went on to win the match by 50 runs. The 3rd ODI in the series is all set to happen on Sunday in Indore. It’s a crucial match for Australia, as India will take the series if Australia lose.
