After being ignored for the champions trophy, India’s former star opener Gautham Gambhir leaves an emotional but inspirational message that shows how strong character he is

The 35-year-old cricketer has retweeted muhammadali’s inspirational quote as a reply to those selectors who neglected Gambhir for the upcoming ICC champions trophy. It was just after the team was selected, Gambhir took to Twitter to express his feeling by retweeting a Muhammad Ali tweet that read: “I am grateful for all my victories, but I am especially grateful for my losses because they only made me work harder.”

Gautham Gambhir had played a pivotal role in India’s triumphant World T20 and World Cup campaigns in 2007 and 2011 respectively. But soon he becomes out of form and lost his place in the team but in fact, unlike some other cricketers who enjoyed the favor of BCCI as well as from the captain, this star player never got enough chances. But instead of regretting and expressing his frustration, the left-handed batsman has let his bat do the talking.

Gambhir has scored a lot of runs in all the seasons of IPL and the domestic circuits and was rewarded with a recall when he was picked in the team for the Test series against New Zealand. He has dropped once again but it did not hinder his determination as he consistently notched big scores in the ongoing Indian Premier League. In 12 matches so far, he has scored 425 runs at an impressive average of over 47.
